Adrienne Bailon and her husband were happy to announce via instagram on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, the arrival of a new family member, a baby boy named Ever James Houghton through a surrogate. She made the announcement by sharing a sentimental family photo, followed by a poem for her son as a caption. In the photo, Adrienne can be seen making mother-son contact while her husband, Israel Houghton, stands next to her and watches their baby.
In 2018, the singer and TV host Adrienne Bailon confessed on an episode of THE REAL how she viewed pregnancy. She originally thought that getting pregnant would be extremely easy, but after trying several times to conceive a child with her husband, she was shocked by the difficult reality that some women experience. Here are some of Adrienne’s statements during the show, “There are so many preconceived notions, like having wide hips and the fact that I’m Latina, I thought if my husband looked at me, I would get pregnant,”.
Regardless of her situation, Adrienne still had the belief that she would be a mom, it was just a matter of time. “I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that it will happen in God’s timing and I believe in that and I have faith in all of that. But it can be very discouraging and very frustrating,” she confessed on the show.
Adrienne (37) and Israel (50) tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Paris on November 11, 2016.
Before their marriage, Israel was married to Meleasa Houghton for 20 years, with whom he divorced. Israel already had 4 children from his previous marriage before he met Adrienne. However, Adrienne and Israel’s children have maintained a good relationship since then.
Before co-hosting THE REAL, Adrienne got her start in television as a member of the girl group, 3LW. Her group toured with stars like Nelly, Destiny’s Child and Pink.
She is also known for her role in the Disney Channel movie, The Cheetah Girls, which landed her a major recording contract with Def Jam.
