Here are some inductees and the most exciting moments from the Rock Hall of Fame 2022 ceremony.

The 37th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. 

History behind the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was established in April 1983 by Atlantic Records founder, Ahmet Ertegun. The Induction ceremony celebrates and honors artists and influence who continue to contribute to the development and legacy of rock and roll in the music industry. A list of about 12 Artists and influence are inducted each year at the Induction Ceremony. 

The first group of artists to be inducted 3 years after the ceremony’s debut, in 1986, included Elvis Presley, James Brown, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Sam Cooke, the Everly Brothers and Jerry Lee Lewis, to name a few.

Inductees included; Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie. 

Artists awarded for Musical Excellence were; Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. 

The artists awarded for Early Influence were; Harry Belafonte and Elizabeth Cotten 

The artists awarded for the Ahmet Ertegun Award were; Allen Grubman and Sylvia Robinson.

The most thrilling moments of the ceremony.

Janet Jackson was pleased to induct Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the famous hitmakers she worked with on her 1986 album called “Control”. The duo also worked with great artists such as Mary J. Blige, George Michael and the king of pop Michael Jackson.

Dolly Parton performed a song from her upcoming rock & roll album on stage. Her show also featured top artists like Pink and Brandi Carlile.

Eminem was inducted by Dr. Dre, who is his longtime music collaborator and close friend. It was with him that Eminem created one of his most popular songs, “My name is”. Ed Sheeran was the main guest artist in Eminem’s show.
