Timeline of Takeoff’s musical career, a Migos rapper.

Famed rapper Takeoff, member of the Migos group died at the age of 28 after a tragic incident in Houston, Texas on November 1, 2022.

It’s not clear what happened, but it’s said that he was playing a game with his nephew, Quovo, and 40 other people when an argument broke out, resulting in gunfire that killed Takeoff with a bullet to the head.

For anyone who doesn’t know Kirshnik Khari Ball, rapper name, Takeoff, you may have heard some of his tracks, like “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert or “Walk it Talk it” featuring Drake.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the most outstanding moments of his musical career

The beginning of a rapping career for the Migos.

It was in 2008, that the group Migos was formed, the group includes Quavo and Offset, nephews of Takeoff. The Migos started working on the release of their first mixtape in 2011 called ‘Juug Season’, followed by the release of another one  2012  called ‘No Label’.

In 2013, while the single ‘Versace’ was well known to the public, Drake made some moves with his own remix on the single, causing it to reach the 30th position on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. This was a big step for the Migos in the music industry, as later in 2015, they released their first album called ‘ Yung Rich Nation’ which included famous R&B singers such as Young Thug and Chris Brown.

Since then, the Migos were on the verge of releasing more albums and singles such as ‘Bad and Boujee’ featuring Lil Uzi Vert, Culture and Culture II. In 2018, these albums helped them reach number one spot on the US Billboard 200, with over 199,000 equivalent units, and 38,000 copies sold.

Culture II, released in 2017 put the Migos on a global radar. The album was on the top of iTunes album chart in 60 countries and 62 countries on Apple Music. 

Singles from the album, such as “Stir Fry” written by Pharrell William’s band and “MotorSport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, earned them 1st on urban radio, 8th on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Gold by the RIAA.
