Following Matthew Lawrence's announcement of his new relationship with TLC's Chilli, his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Burke posted a rather cryptic message on Instagram.
After he made his relationship with Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, 51, public on January 3, Cheryl Burke, 38, appeared to have a message for her ex, Matthew Lawrence, 42.
After three years of marriage, Cheryl and Matthew divorced at the beginning of 2022, and it became official in September.
Meanwhile, the longtime friends Matthew and Chilli first sparked romance rumors back in August when they were spotted together in Hawaii.
A Chilli representative said the couple started dating in early January and went exclusively together before Thanksgiving.
Chilli's agent told Billboard, "I've never seen her this in love.".
She is glowing, and the two of them look really cute together. The two made their relationship known on social media on New Year's Eve, but Matthew has kept his relationship with Cheryl a secret for nearly a year.
The two first began dating in 2007 after Matthew's brother, Joey Lawrence, was paired with Cheryl on Dancing with the Stars. Despite their 2008 breakup, they eventually made amends and rekindled their romance in 2017.
In May 2018, they announced their engagement. A year later, they were married.
Cheryl seems prepared for her own new chapter as the new year approaches.
She wrote on Instagram, "There were many times when I thought I would break, but HERE I AM. I made it through the year that tried everything it could to break me.
I had the most ups and downs and heartbreak in the year 200, but I wouldn't be who or where I am today without those life ...
...experiences. I'm eager to move on, to not let the past define me, and I'm SO ready to begin the next chapter of my life.
