Oprah Winfrey finished a 102-mile hike that she dedicated to the late Barbara Walters just over a year after undergoing double knee replacement surgery.
On Instagram, she shared videos from the 102-mile journey.
I'm also thankful for my new knees for supporting me on this hike of gratitude, Oprah wrote in the caption of one of her videos.
I was unable to walk a year ago, but in 2022 I managed to climb a mountain 102 miles by foot.

Oprah can be seen throughout the video hiking while sporting a pink sweatsuit, hat, and fanny pack. She expertly navigated the terrain with the aid of two walking sticks.
In the video, the 68-year-old also flaunted her trimmer figure.
At one point, Oprah exclaimed, "We made it to the top, where the treeline is.
The entire purpose of the hike, according to Oprah, is to express gratitude for the year you've had, the life you lead, and the lessons you've learned.
I'll be participating in this hike out of gratitude and praise for Barbara Walters, who was a great mentor and friend to me. Barbara passed away on December 30 at the age of 93.

Oprah and her companions stopped at the summit of the mountain to enjoy a picnic while contemplating everything they had just accomplished.
In another Instagram video, Oprah displayed the loaf that the group had brought up the mountain and made jokes about her ...
...famous "I love bread" Weight Watchers catchphrase. She then ate the picnic before the group began the 5 mile descent.
Oprah advised, "Take this as a reminder to put one foot in front of the other as you walk into this new year.".
Put one foot in front of the other. Whether you're climbing a real mountain or just dealing with a problem, keep in mind how far you've already come and how far you still have to go.
