Tory Lanez Was Convicted By A Jury Of Shooting Megan Thee Stallion
Rapper Tory Lanez was convicted of assault for the 2020 shooting in which Megan Thee Stallion was wounded in the foot.
Nearly two weeks had passed since the start of the trial, which featured explosive testimony from Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete.
Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson is Tory's real name, and as a Canadian, he also faces deportation. Tory is currently awaiting sentencing and could be sentenced to up to 24 years in prison.
He was accused of shooting Megan in the feet at a pool party in July 2020. On December 13, Megan made an emotional statement in court;Tory did not testify during the trial.
She said, according to TMZ, I've been transformed into some sort of villain as a result of being shot, and he is the victim. This has ruined my entire life.
We weren't in a relationship, she claimed, but I was recently the victim of a man's violent act. After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him.
Even as a victim, I have encountered skepticism and judgment.
The way that people have openly argued about whether I was responsible for my own violent assault shows that my concerns were justified.
